Since this is our first cruise, what are the top things we should know before we go?
Onboard Services – Frequently Asked Questions
One of the great things about a Disney Cruise is that you can have a relaxing time on board and in port without having to do a lot of advance planning and preparation. And when you add the Disney Cruise Vacations Air Program and Ground Transfers to your Disney Cruise booking, your flights and ground transportation to the ship are arranged for you. Once on board, your stateroom, meals and entertainment are included.
Ahead of time, you may want to plan Port Adventures excursions or make a dining reservation at one of our adult-only restaurants. You can even book a magical storybook transformation for your children at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
In addition, some Character Greetings—like the Princess Gathering, the Frozen Meet and Greet and Character Breakfasts (select cruises only)—require complimentary tickets. All of these experiences can be easily booked online once you are within your advance booking window at My Disney Cruise and, specifically, My Cruise Activities.
Your advance booking window is determined by your Castaway Club membership level, as follows:
First-Time Guests | 75 days prior to sail date |
Silver Castaway Club Member | 90 days prior to sail date |
Gold Castaway Club Member | 105 days prior to sail date |
Concierge Guests and Platinum Castaway Club Member | 120 days prior to sail date |
But all you really need to do once you book your cruise is pack a bag (bring any essentials such as medication or baby food), complete your required documents and come aboard. The atmosphere is casual and our Crew Members will be ready to assist you. If you happen to forget something, one of the onboard shops is likely to have what you need.
