Age-Specific Activities – Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

How many swimming pools are on each ship, and are any for adults only?

A:

Disney Cruise Line ships offer a variety of pool experiences for Guests. You'll find a pool designed especially for younger children, another for older kids and families and an adult-only pool on most ships. The exception is the Disney Adventure, which has family-friendly pools instead of an adults-only area.

For your comfort, all pools are heated to maintain a minimum water temperature of 75 degrees. Children's flotation vests are also available throughout the pool areas.

Swim Diaper Policy

The United States Public Health Service requires that only children who are toilet trained are permitted to enter swimming pools and spas aboard cruise ships.

  • Children up to 4 years old, even if not toilet trained, are welcome to enjoy our designated water play areas while wearing a swim diaper.
  • Swim diapers are not permitted in any Disney Cruise Line pools, hot tubs, spas or waterslides.
