Age-Specific Activities – Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

What are the onboard policies for swim accessories, equipment and swim diapers?

A:

To keep the fun afloat for every Guest, we follow these shipshape guidelines for pools, hot tubs, waterslides and water play areas.

Swim Accessories and Equipment

  • Swim goggles that fit only over the eyes are permitted at all pools, hot tubs and waterslides—except on AquaDunk aboard the Disney Magic, where goggles are not allowed.
  • Swim masks that cover the eyes and nose are permitted at all pools. They are not allowed on any of the waterslides/water coasters.
  • Snorkel tubes and toys are not permitted at any pools, hot tubs, waterslides/water coasters or water play areas.
  • Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFDs), water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits may be brought on board and are permitted in all pools and waterslides except AquaDunk.
  • Complimentary flotation vests are provided and may be used in all pools and waterslides except AquaDunk.
  • Floats, rafts and fun noodles cannot be brought on board and are not permitted in the pools.

Swim Diaper Policy

The United States Public Health Service requires that only children who are toilet trained are permitted to enter swimming pools and spas aboard cruise ships.

  • Children up to 4 years old, even if not toilet trained, are welcome to enjoy our designated water play areas while wearing a swim diaper.
  • Swim diapers are not permitted in any Disney Cruise Line pools, hot tubs, spas or waterslides.
