Onboard Services – Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

Do I need to bring an electrical converter?

A:

You don’t need to bring an electrical converter on your Disney cruise. With the exception of the Disney Adventure, all Disney ships feature outlets compatible with US and Canadian plugs. All staterooms are conveniently equipped with multiple outlets.

On Most Ships

All staterooms on Disney Cruise Line ships, except the Disney Adventure, are equipped with:

  • 110V outlets, compatible with US and Canada (type A and type B) plugs
  • 220V outlets, compatible with European (type F or “Schuko”) plugs
  • Razor outlet (bathroom only)

On the Disney Adventure

Staterooms on the Disney Adventure are equipped with:

  • 230V outlets, compatible with European (type F or “Schuko”), UK (type G) and Chinese (type I) plugs
  • USB-A and USB-C ports
  • Razor outlet (bathroom only)

Travel power adapters may be used if your personal devices are labeled as dual voltage and meet the ship’s electrical standards. However, devices that are not dual voltage—such as certain hair dryers, curling irons and straighteners—are not permitted on the Disney Adventure, even with an adapter. Before sailing, check your device’s voltage information to make sure it’s compatible. For your convenience, each stateroom is equipped with a hair dryer.
