Fort Lauderdale is warm and tropical year-round—hot and humid with brief afternoon showers in summer; milder with breezy nights in winter. Pack lightweight clothing and swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses and a sun hat, plus a light rain jacket and a sweater for air-conditioned venues. Check the forecast, especially June to November when it's tropical storm season.

Getting around Fort Lauderdale is easy. Rideshare, taxis and Disney Cruise Line transfers make the short hop between Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Port Everglades simple (about 10 to 15 minutes). Explore by hotel shuttle or water taxi to beaches and Las Olas, and use Brightline fast rail for day trips to Miami, Aventura, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach or Orlando. Rental cars and parking are convenient (Heron Garage for Terminals 2 and 4; Palm Garage for Terminal 26).

Fort Lauderdale is a popular travel destination and considered safe, but Disney Cruise Line Guests are advised to stay alert and follow safety precautions to protect valuables.

Disney Cruise Line representatives will be at the terminal to meet, greet and check in Guests starting at 11:15 AM. Guests are allowed to enter at their scheduled Port Arrival Time. Guests who do not have a Port Arrival Time or have not had an opportunity to complete their Online Check-In should arrive after 2:00 PM. Porters will be on hand to assist with luggage. Note: All Guests must be on board the ship no later than the published All-Aboard time.

Wristbands will be distributed to Guests during Youth Activities registration on board the ship.

The Disney Cruise Line terminal building and parking areas are wheelchair accessible. Specially designed ramps are placed at specified gangways for disembarkation and embarkation.
