  • Accommodating Your Dietary Needs at Sea

Disney Cruise Line is dedicated to accommodating Guests with dietary needs, offering allergy-friendly meals, cultural or lifestyle options and accommodations for severe dietary restrictions. To enhance your dining experience, our table-service restaurants also feature gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy-free menu selections.

  • Common Allergy-Friendly Requests

At Disney Cruise Line, we take great pride in providing choice and variety for Guests with special dietary or allergy-friendly requests.

At our table-service restaurants, we will do our best to accommodate you if you need meals prepared without an ingredient that is one of the allergies the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) considers most common.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

    • Eggs
    • Fish
    • Milk
    • Peanuts
    • Sesame
    • Shellfish
    • Soy
    • Tree Nuts
    • Wheat

  • Less Common Allergy-Friendly or Intolerance Requests

Disney Cruise Line strives to accommodate requests beyond the FDA's most common allergies, including meals made without:

    • Gluten
    • Lactose
    • Corn
    • MSG

Any additional dietary requests may be requested through the Special Services form prior to your cruise.

  • How to Request a Special Dietary Meal

There are 2 ways to submit dietary requests—Special Requests and Special Services. To make a dietary request prior to your sailing, please visit My Reservations and use the form that corresponds to your needs:

    Special Requests

Use this option for lifestyle or cultural meal accommodations such as kosher, vegetarian, Jain or meals with halal-certified meats.

    • Requests for kosher or meals with halal-certified meats must be submitted at least 35 days prior to your sailing date. On board the Disney Adventure, meals with halal-certified meats are available at table-service venues and can be ordered at the time of your meal. To learn more, visit the Disney Adventure Pre-Arrival page.
    • Kosher for Passover meal requests must be submitted 10 weeks in advance in order to be accommodated. Passover Seder ceremonial plate ingredients can also be provided for Guests wishing to hold their own personal Seder service. Requests must be submitted by calling us 10 weeks in advance in order to be accommodated.
    • Jain meals are exclusively offered on the Disney Adventure. To ensure availability, please submit your request at least 35 days prior to your sailing date. You can submit requests by visiting My Reservations, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or by contacting us.

    Special Services

Use this option for dietary restrictions or food allergies. Examples include, but are not limited to, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, gluten/wheat, low protein and no sugar added.

Requests must be submitted at least 3 days prior to embarkation.

  • Allergen Considerations

Dietary requests notated on your reservation will not be automatically applied at our quick-service meal locations or through in-room dining.

Disney Cruise Line strives to use reasonable efforts in our food sourcing, preparation and handling procedures to avoid the introduction of the named allergens into your menu choices. While we take steps to prevent cross-contact, we do not have separate allergy-friendly kitchens and are unable to guarantee that a menu item is completely free of allergens. Please also note that our allergy-friendly offerings are reliant on supplier ingredient labels, and we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the contents of each food item. Allergen advisory statements (e.g., "may contain") are not regulated and therefore not taken into consideration when developing allergy-friendly meals. It is ultimately up to the Guest’s discretion to make an informed choice based upon their individual dietary needs.

  • What to Do Once On Board

Guests with dietary requirements are advised to attend the Onboard Dining Session held on embarkation day. The specific time and location for this session can be found in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.

Additionally, even if dietary requirements were provided during the reservation process, Guests should inform their dining team when placing their orders.

  • Participating Locations

Guests with food allergies or dietary requirements can find a wide range of culinary options at most Disney Cruise Line restaurants and dining locations.

Keep in mind, while our quick-service and in-room dining locations take reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that they will be able to meet all requests. We welcome you to dine at our Main Dining and adult-exclusive locations—which offer more resources to help guide you toward a suitable meal.

  • Storing and Handling Personal Food Items and Medications

Crew Members are prohibited from storing, preparing, cooking or reheating any food brought aboard our ships by Guests. Please review our guidelines concerning bringing your own food and ice chests on board.
