Disney Cruise Line has a number of services to help Guests with hearing loss, including captioned television and movies, assistive listening systems, room communication kits with stateroom teletypewriters or TTYs (available on the Disney Magic, Disney Dream, Disney Adventure, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder) and shared American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services for U.S.-based and select European cruises. Guests with a hearing loss are encouraged to submit their requests by filling out the Special Services Information Form at least 30 days prior to US-based sail dates and 120 days for select Europe-based sailings, so we can assist you with any special arrangements.
Communication Kits on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Adventure
If your party includes Guests with hearing disabilities, request to have a communication kit added to your stateroom on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Adventure.
These communication kits include:
- A stateroom teletypewriter (TTY)
- Door knock and phone alerts
- Bed shaker notification
- Strobe light smoke detector
You’ll need to fill out the Special Services Information Form prior to sailing.
Communication Staterooms on the Disney Wish, Disney Destiny and Disney Treasure
If your party includes Guests with hearing disabilities, you may choose to book a communication stateroom on the Disney Wish, Disney Destiny or Disney Treasure. These staterooms include built-in communication features, such as:
- A stateroom teletypewriter (TTY)
- A doorbell
- Smoke detector with a visual indication
- A panel with light signals or doorbell, telephone calls, general alarms and fire alarms
- Vibrating bed shaker under the mattress for doorbell, telephone calls, general alarms and fire alarms
Communication kits are not available on the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure or Disney Destiny.
