Before departing on your magical Disney vacation at sea, take time to familiarize yourself with your ship and enjoy the magical amenities on board. Here are a few suggestions to get you started—along with details about our Mandatory Safety Drill.

  • Take part in a mandatory pre-departure assembly drill. All Guests—regardless of age or number of previous sailings—must participate in a Mandatory Emergency Drill, as required by the US Coast Guard. Once on board, please check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for your assembly station and listen for the announcements indicating the start of the drill, which typically occurs approximately one hour before scheduled departure.

  • Connect to Disney Cruise Line Guest Wi-Fi on board via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. This free onboard Guest Wi-Fi lets you see your dining rotation, explore menus, chat with other Guests on board and discover all the magic happening throughout your cruise.

If you would like additional wireless internet access to stream your favorite shows, email friends and family back home or post to social media, there are multiple Wi-Fi packages available for purchase based on your internet needs. Once aboard, simply open the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and navigate to the “Connect to Internet” card to browse plans for purchase.

  • Purchase a photo package. If you didn’t have an opportunity to pre-order a package, there's still time to do so on your mobile device.

  • Tour the ship and enjoy the magical amenities during “open house” time on embarkation day. Explore the various locations on board, including spas and salons, dining locations, family and adult pools, and uniquely themed lounges. Guests of all ages may also visit the kids clubs during open house hours. Visit the Fitness Center where you can keep fit and feeling in “ship-shape” with personalized one-on-one sessions, savor a tasty lunch in one of the restaurants, sip on a refreshing beverage poolside or don your swimsuit and take a pre-cruise dip. The ship is yours to explore.

  • Explore the Port Adventures Desk. Visit the Port Adventures Desk to receive important information regarding your existing reservations or to book additional tours while in the ports of call (subject to availability). As a reminder, please be sure to share any dietary needs with the Port Adventures Desk for any booked Port Adventures that include a meal. Note: The Disney Adventure does not have a Port Adventures Desk.

  • Kick up your heels at our sail-away celebrations immediately following the mandatory pre-departure assembly drill.

  • Once out of port, check out the onboard shops. Onboard shops remain closed until the ship leaves port on the evening of embarkation day. But after leaving port, it’s the perfect opportunity to snag popular merchandise and apparel before they sell out.

  • Spread the Disney magic on social media. Whether it’s making a splash at the pools, a breathtaking view or an encounter with a beloved Disney Character, you can share your unforgettable moments at sea using #DisneyCruise.
