Staterooms – Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

What types of balconies are available in Verandah Staterooms?

A:

Disney Cruise Line offers 3 main balcony types in the Verandah Staterooms:

  • Standard Verandah (Categories 4, 5 and 6): Features an open-air balcony skirted by a clear acrylic wall, offering a full view of the horizon even while seated. On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, Category 4E features oversized balconies. On the Disney Adventure, Guests may enjoy views of the ocean, Disney Imagination Garden or Disney Discovery Reef; however, Category 4D does not have a verandah.
  • White-Wall Verandah (Category 6): Offers an open-air balcony with a solid white wall (instead of clear acrylic) extending from the deck to the railing. Most of these staterooms are located toward the aft (back) of the ship or on lower decks and provide more privacy but limited views when seated. Found only on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.
  • Navigator’s Verandah (Category 7A): On the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, the balcony is fully enclosed and features a large, open-air porthole above the railing, offering privacy and protection from wind while still allowing fresh air and natural light. Throughout the rest of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the balcony features an obstructed view and is not enclosed. Navigator Verandahs are not available on the Disney Adventure.

Verandah Staterooms differ by size and style depending on the ship and stateroom type, and some balconies may have partial views. Partitions on connecting staterooms can be opened to create an even more spacious balcony.
