- Climb aboard a deluxe motor coach and soon after departing the dock, you'll be climbing the South Klondike Highway to the top of the White Pass, 3,292 feet above sea level. Majestic peaks, waterfalls and glaciers can all be seen on this approximate 75-minute incredible drive. Note: Passports are required for all Guests, since this tour will cross the border into Canada.
- Arrive at your first destination, the Yukon Suspension Bridge. Experience the country that you heard about: breathe pristine air, taste wild berries in season, hear the roar of raging white water and thrill to the sensations of a swaying walkway 60 feet above the rapids. During the approximate 45-minute visit, lively graphic panels and displays will explain the land and the wildlife. Tagish First Nation Staff and Elders are available to answer questions about the site and a variety of First Nations art pieces and crafts are available for purchase as well.
- Continue on your motor coach for the journey down the west side of the White Pass canyon. Listen as your driver-guide regales you with stories of the stampeders who trekked through the pass in search of gold. See picturesque points, such as Tormented Valley and Pitchfork Falls, as you head home back to your ship.
- Passports are required for all Guests, since this tour will cross the border into Canada.
- Wheelchairs need to be standard size and collapsible; no electric wheelchairs/scooters are permitted. Guests must be able to board and disembark the motor coach on their own as well as walk comfortably over gravel terrain. Wheelchairs cannot cross the suspension bridge.
- The Yukon Suspension Bridge is located in B.C., but the area is overseen by the Yukon Department of Transportation.
- This excursion is stroller accessible. However, some portions of the tour may require Guests to fold accompanying strollers. In addition, lightweight strollers are recommended.
- Guests should dress warmly, in layers, and carry raingear.
- Guests are encouraged to bring currency and credit cards to purchase extras, such as souvenirs or snacks.
- You should never feel that gratuities are expected, but it is customary to leave a tip in recognition of exceptional service in restaurants, taxis and for excursion guides and drivers. It is always up to you to determine the amount.
