On this tour you will:
  • Board the historic White Pass and Yukon Route narrow-gauge railroad for a 1.75 -scenic and informative ride through the coastal mountains to Fraser Station in British Columbia. This railroad was constructed in 1898 to haul gold-crazed stampeders to the Klondike Gold Fields. Sit back and enjoy the narration while watching the stunning Northern landscape unfold on your way up to the alpine.
  • Meet your experienced guides at Fraser Station and travel by van for approximately 15 minutes across the spectacular Yukon Plateau to the summit of the White Pass. Your guides will inform you about the history and ecology of this rich area. These are the stunning headwaters of the Yukon River, fed by snowfields and glaciers. You will travel through a sub-alpine basin back to the White Pass, after which you will get fitted with a bicycle. Note: Guests must be at least 4'6" tall and comfortable riding a bicycle downhill using the break system.
  • Hop on a bicycle and coast downhill from the summit to the sea! You will be escorted for a 15-mile coast on a paved road back to Skagway. You will make frequent stops on this approximately 1.5 hour ride for photos of glacier-fed waterfalls, stunning mountain landscapes and important historical markers on the White Pass Trail. At times, wildlife is also spotted along the road!
