On this tour you will:
  • First, travel approximately 25-minutes via mini-van and arrive at the Ski Lodge where the Zipline Eco-Tour begins.
  • Get outfitted with your gear. The guides will lead you on your journey through the Tongass National Forest, as you land in uniquely themed tree houses and zip from one tree to the next. This year's tree house themes are: Alaskan Bears, Commercial Fishing & Crabbing, Lumberjacks, Native Alaskan Culture, Dog Sledding and Gold Panning.
  • Cross an aerial suspension bridge over Fish Creek through a network of 7 zip lines (approximately 100 minutes long). Once your zipline adventure is complete, embrace your "inner lumberjack", with a try at axe throwing.
  • Gather around a bonfire on the back deck of the ski lodge where you can reflect on your journey through the trees. Enjoy some s'mores and watch the video presentation from the tour. Your new zipline friends have a special gift for you, a custom designed aluminum water bottle to commemorate zipping through the rainforest in Alaska.
  • Next, relax on a scenic drive to the Mendenhall Glacier. At this monumental attraction, explore the trails around the glacier, take in exhibits at the visitor center, capture photos or talk with the U.S. Forest Service Rangers to learn about this natural wonder during the approximate 50-minute self-guided visit.
  • Re-board your van and travel back to the ship.
