• Take an approximate 90-minute drive from Civitavecchia to Rome.
• Arrive at ARTSTUDIO Café, where together with a small group you'll meet your host for this unique experience, a renowned art teacher from the Vatican School, who specializes in Mosaic Art. After an introduction to the history of mosaics, found in many ancient Roman excavations, you'll have the chance to create your very own masterpiece and memento of this trip, a mosaic decorated photo frame.
• During your approximate 90-minute class, you'll savor Italian wine, cheese and cold cuts.
• Conclude your workshop and enjoy approximately 4 hours of free time to shop and sightsee. Your tour escort will provide you with maps and directions to your destination of choice, including the nearby Vatican. This is the perfect option if you have been to Rome and are looking for a memorable experience and fun outing with friends.
• Meet back at the designated time and location to take the trip back to Civitavecchia.

• Guests wishing to visit the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica during their free time may experience long lines. Guests wishing to enter St. Peter's Basilica or other churches must ensure that shoulders and knees remain covered. You can wear shorts that reach below the knee and tank tops, as long as you bring a sweater or scarf to wrap around your shoulders. Should a mass be taking place, the entrance to the Basilica may be restricted.
• Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes.
• On public holidays, the majority of shops will be closed: only souvenir shops will be open. The Vatican Museums, which houses the Sistine Chapel, is closed on religious holidays.
• Guests are encouraged to bring credit cards or currency to purchase optional extras such as souvenirs.
• You should never feel that gratuities are expected, but it is customary to leave a tip in recognition of exceptional service in restaurants, taxis and for excursion guides and drivers. It is always up to you to determine the amount.
