15-Night Panama Canal Westbound Cruise
Location: Panama CanalA Disney Cruise Line 15-Night Panama Canal Westbound Cruise transports you and your family from Port Canaveral, Florida, through the Panama Canal, to Los Angeles, California. Along the way, you visit 6 sun-drenched ports and spend 7 relaxing days at sea. The ports of call include Castaway Cay and Aruba in the Caribbean, Puntarenas in Costa Rica, and the Mexican towns of Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.
During the voyage, enjoy sandy-white beaches caressed by turquoise waters, the architectural marvel that is the Panama Canal and charming resort towns steeped in ancient culture.
Set sail aboard the majestic Disney Wonder to islands and port towns, where pre-Columbian Indians once lived, pirates roamed and European adventurers explored.
You embark from Port Canaveral, on central Florida's Atlantic Ocean. The next day, the ship docks at Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island paradise in the Bahamas. Partake in a variety of activities, including bicycle riding, snorkeling and parasailing.
During the next 2 days at sea, enjoy fun-filled activities on board the ship, from swimming and dancing to shopping and entertainment—perhaps the live Broadway-style musicals in the splendid Walt Disney Theatre.
The following day, arrive on Aruba, a pristine island in the Dutch West Indies. It moves to the welcoming beat of calypso and meringue music and features stunningly beautiful beaches. Its capital, Oranjestad, offers a variety of shopping experiences.
While at sea for another day, watch a first-run film or a Disney favorite on a giant screen in new Disney Digital 3-D at the Buena Vista Theatre.
The following day, travel through the Panama Canal, an engineering marvel that links the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean. Bordered by lush, tropical rain forests, the canal is a visual feast. Afterwards, enjoy another day at sea and continue to explore the ship.
Next stop: Puntarenas, on Costa Rica's Pacific Ocean-side. The country boasts exotic wildlife and exquisite tropical plants, from monkeys and toucans to orchids and mangroves. Enjoy a plethora of beach activities and an eco-tourism orientated park that features zip line and bike tours, as well as butterfly and bat farms.
After 2 more days at sea, delight in 3 Mexican ports over the next 3 days: Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. Manzanillo, located on Mexico's central Pacific coast, is renowned for deep-sea fishing and calls itself the "Sailfish Capital of the World." Be sure to check out the natural phenomenon called "green flash," an optical illusion that makes the sunsets spectacular.
In Puerto Vallarta, enjoy cultural events and exhibits, guided tours into the nearby jungle and virtually every type of beach activity you can imagine.
Sun-drenched Cabo San Lucas sits at the tip of the Baja peninsula and features dramatic rock landscapes, white-sand beaches and clear ocean waters. Along with water activities, it offers landlubbers such activities as golf, horseback riding and nature hikes. Luckily, prime whale-watching time is January through March.
After another glorious day at sea, the Disney Wonder arrives in Los Angeles. You step off the ship, filled with unforgettable experiences, unparalleled views and unequaled Disney adventures.
