A charming port of call, Cabo San Lucas has plenty of places to explore and activities for the entire family, including 20 different major beaches with pristine waters and breathtaking views.
Iglesia de San Lucas was established by the Spanish missionary Nicolas Tamaral in 1730. A large bell in a stone archway commemorates the completion of the church in 1746. The church boasts many of its original features, one of the reasons it is such a popular place to visit.
Vitrofusion Glass Blowing Factory is located outside town. The artists use an ancient glass-blowing technique dating back to 2,000 B.C. and transform recycled glass into beautiful pieces of art.
El Arco at Land's End is located, naturally, at the end of the peninsula where these amazing natural rock formations separate the Pacific Ocean from the Sea of Cortez. Its most famous geographic landmark is "El Arco," which is a huge granite arch formed by the wind and waves.
Playa El Médano or Dune Beach is a popular spot for swimming and water-sport rentals. The beach is 7 miles long and starts at the east side of the harbor and extends along Cabo San Lucas Bay all the way to Villa del Palmar.
Playa Santa Maria (Santa Maria Beach) has a horseshoe-shaped beach with sand the color and consistency of pink rice. It is a protected marine sanctuary and a great spot for relaxing.
Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach) is a hidden cove that can only be accessed by water transportation. It is located on the Sea of Cortez side of Land's End. The beach is located near the famous "El Arco."
Caution: Swimming in the beaches on the Pacific side can be dangerous due to the swift sea currents and powerful waves. Guests should only swim when the water is calm. There are no lifeguards.
