Highlights

Sights

Wander the labyrinthine ramparts and tunnels of the great El Morro citadel and the venerable Castillo de San Cristó bal in picture-perfect San Juan, where age-old artifices from the 16th and 17th century mingle amid natural splendors including rainforests and deserts.

In St. John's, embark on an eye-opening tour of Betty's Hope Sugar Plantation, the island's first sugar manufacturing plant, or take in the panoramic views of Nelson's Dockyard, home to historic buildings, nature trails and views of the English Harbour.

Stroll the serene white sands of St. Lucia and snap a photo of the submerged peaks known as the Pitons—St. Lucia's most famous landmark. Then, make your way to Sulphur Springs, home to the only drive-in volcano in the world.

For nature lovers, Grand Etang National Park and Forest Reserve in Grenada boasts hiking trails to explore, while those looking for a taste of history should look no further than Westerhall Estate, famous for its rum, and Dougaldston Spice Estate, known for its nutmeg, cocoa and nutmeg.

The 17th-century Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park—the largest ever built in the Caribbean—recalls the dramatic history of St. Kitts while offering some of the grandest views of the island. The Circus, modeled after London's famous roundabout, is a must-see for anyone looking to shop and dine among the locals.

Activities

Immerse yourself in all the pleasures that San Juan has to offer. Sunbathe and snorkel at El Escambrón and Isla Verde beaches, enjoy an up-close encounter with nature during a tropical rainforest trek, or simply wander the cobblestone lanes of the old city and re-discover history.

In Antigua, soar high in the sky on a scenic zip-line tour through the forest or take the plunge at Stingray City, where you can swim amid a coral reef with friendly stingrays. In St. Lucia, you're invited to sunbathe at Jalousie Beach and discover the unspoiled natural beauty of Latille Waterfalls and Gardens, before visiting Pigeon Island, where historic ruins and breathtaking views of Rodney Bay await your arrival.

In Grenada, sunbathe and shop at what is arguably one of the Caribbean's most pristine beaches, Grand Anse Beach, snorkel amid an underwater sculpture garden in Moliniere Bay, or swim beneath a rushing waterfall at Seven Sisters Falls. Adventure can be found amid an underground wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites in Harrison's Cave in Barbados, while a kaleidoscope of sea creatures both big and small can be glimpsed in their natural habitat at Ocean Park.

Finally, in St. Kitts, hike to the top of the dormant volcano known as Mount Liamuiga and journey inside its massive crater. Then, hop aboard the St. Kitts Scenic Railway and retrace the historic route of the island's "sugar trains" while reveling in the seemingly endless natural beauty along the way.

Dining

When you've worked up an appetite, real Caribbean fare is readily available at many restaurants near sites visited by adventurous tourists. Indulge in the tasty—and authentic*mdash;flavors of local "Créole" cuisine, and savor the many fresh seafood dishes that distinguish the region's cuisine.

You'll also delight in an array of outstanding dining options aboard the Disney Magic, from adult-exclusive options at Palo to playful venues inspired by Disney films.
