I. General Terms
Copyright Policy, Restrictions on Use of Materials
All photos captured by Disney Cruise Line are owned and copyright protected by Disney. Please be aware that it is illegal to reproduce or distribute copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright owner. Purchased prints and other products may not be reproduced without permission from Disney. Accessing pictures or text provided on websites, apps or kiosks does not give you any rights to use them. Only the copyright owner, or the owner's legal agent, can grant permission to copy, distribute, or publicly display protected material.
Purchasers of Disney Cruise Line digital photos receive, and such digital photos are subject to, a Limited License Agreement for personal, non-commercial use of the digital photos. Photo retailers and technicians may request of copy of the limited license provided above before consenting to use, reproduce or modify your photos. We recommend that you print a copy and bring this with you to any photo retailer or technician.
Disney reserves the right to remove or refuse to print or upload any photos in our sole discretion, including photos that contain content of poor quality or that might be deemed to be inappropriate or offensive.
We are not responsible for missing, lost or damaged photos.
Prices and Payment
Sales taxes, value-added and import duties, if any, will be applied to the prices of Disney Cruise Line photos, photo gift products and retail photo products offered aboard Disney Cruise Line ships or through Disney Cruise Line websites, apps or kiosks to the extent required under applicable tax laws. If applicable, shipping costs will vary depending on delivery option and location. Prices are subject to change at any time prior to acceptance of your order.
International Customs Policy: You may have to pay import duties, value-added taxes or other taxes on Disney Cruise Line photos, photo gift products and retail photo products shipped internationally. If assessed, these charges are the responsibility of the package recipient, who will be billed for them by the local Customs office.
Joining Staterooms / Kiosk Accounts
Joining your stateroom photos with photos from another stateroom into a single account is only available (i) once a package is purchased and (ii) if you have children (immediate family only) under 21 in the stateroom you wish to join to your account. Anyone else age 21 and over in the joined stateroom will not be in the photos in your package or available for onboard or post-cruise downloading. You must specifically request the joining of staterooms to a crew member in Shutters Photography Shop.
Photos captured as part of weddings, Quinceañeras, private portraiture and other special occasion photography services, or as part of Port Adventures or by third-party operators, are not included in digital packages or print packages or available for onboard or post-cruise downloading. Generic stock shot photos of the ship, characters, ports of call or any photos that don’t contain a member within your stateroom or a joined stateroom are also not included.
Private portraiture and other special occasion photography services are subject to a separate purchase, details are available from Shutters Photography Shop.
Disney Cruise Line digital photos are intended for your personal use only. Downloading or unlocking, or offering to download or unlock, digital photos for the benefit of other guests, whether or not you solicit or accept any consideration or remuneration for such digital photos, is a violation of these Terms and Conditions and the limited license granted to you. Violations may result in removal of all photos associated with your account and termination of your Disney account. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to conclude that you are in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice.
II. Digital Photos
Reserving Digital Photo Packages Pre-Cruise
You may reserve a digital photo package pre-cruise, and that digital photo package will be added to your folio during sailing. Your digital photo package will contain photos that include at least one member of the purchasing stateroom. Families traveling in more than one stateroom where the occupants are the children (20 and under) of the purchasing stateroom can be linked, however you must notify a crew member at Shutters Photography Shop once onboard. Orders will be ready and waiting for use on the photo kiosks located in Shutters Photography Shop or the Disney Cruise Line Photos website, where available, when the cruise starts. You should visit Shutters Photography Shop or the Disney Cruise Line Photos website, where available, at least a few times prior to the end of the cruise to view photos and ensure all images are all captured in your account. You may cancel pre-cruise orders online up to 3 days prior to the cruise departure or onboard before the end of your cruise, provided that such orders will be cancelled only if you have not downloaded any digital photos while onboard.
Purchasing and Use of Digital Photos Onboard
By purchasing a digital photo through a photo kiosk or the Disney Cruise Line Photos website, where available, and outside of a photo package, you are agreeing to purchase the digital photo, removing the security watermark from the digital photo and making the digital photo available through the Onboard Download website, on a photo kiosk or the Disney Cruise Line Photos website, in either case where available, for immediate download to your Internet-enabled device, as described below. Digital photos purchased for download cannot be cancelled, modified or returned; therefore sales are final and non-refundable.
Guests will not be able to purchase digital photos post-cruise.
Onboard Download Website, where available
On select ships, after you purchase a digital photo, you will be able to download that photo via the Onboard Download website. Digital photos can only be downloaded to an Internet-enabled portable device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) while you are onboard the ship. If digital photos are downloaded from the Onboard Download website, no refunds for the digital photo or digital photo package will be permitted. An access code is provided to each stateroom to use during the cruise so that you and your family members can access digital photos through the Onboard Download website. You and your family members with access to the photo kiosk should not share this access code with anyone else and are solely responsible for the security of the access codes provided.
Disney Cruise Line Photos Website, where available
On select ships, you will be able to review, purchase and download photos via the Disney Cruise Line Photos website. Digital photos can only be reviewed, purchased and downloaded to an Internet-enabled portable device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone) while you are onboard the ship and while on DCL-Guest WiFi. If digital photos are downloaded from the Disney Cruise Line Photos website, no refunds for the digital photo or digital photo package will be permitted.
Access to the Disney Cruise Line Photos website is granted to each stateroom guest upon verification of your personal cruise itinerary information, including your first name, last name, date of birth, and your stateroom number. Upon login, you will be able to access your photos to view and purchase. You may also purchase and redeem digital photo packages, or redeem pre-purchased package entitlements. Purchases require the creation and verification of a Purchase PIN. Guests under the age of 13 may not access the Disney Cruise Line Photos website.
Refunds Policy: Digital Photo “Unlock” Credits
Once purchased, all digital photo “unlock” credits cannot be refunded, even if only used in part. Once a photo has been unlocked it is available for download. Downloading Your Purchased Photos Post-Cruise
Digital photos and digital photo packages purchased onboard can be downloaded, and pre-purchased package entitlements can be redeemed, post-cruise at disneycruise.disney.go.com/photos/. Online registration is required. For the avoidance of doubt, digital photos and digital photo packages are not available for purchase post-cruise.
You must claim your photos before they expire. Digital photos in your account will expire pursuant to the Photo Expiration Policy, below. Expired photos will no longer be available.

Digital Photo Resolution
Digital photos are provided in resolutions that provide 300 dpi printing quality and with aspect ratios that are optimized to be printed as 4x6, 6x8 or 8x10 sizes depending on the location at which the photo is captured, as determined by Disney. Changing a digital photo to a different aspect ratio may cause cropping of borders and a loss of detail. Standard JPEG photo compression is used to minimize file sizes while keeping quality high. Digital photos may range in megabyte size from 1MB to 6MB depending on the photo event and color detail (e.g., backdrop, lighting) contained in the digital photo. Digital and printed photos include custom borders and artwork, which cannot be removed.
Checking your photos
If there you are aware of missing or damaged photos, please contact Guest Communication via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or open a ticket via Contact Us at disneycruise.disney.go.com/help/email/ within 30-days of disembarkation. If no contact is made to DCL Guest Communication within 30 days of debarkation, you will not be able to obtain a refund and photos from onboard the ship cannot be recovered.
III. Photo Prints
Photo Prints Onboard
Photo prints ordered through the onboard kiosks must be picked up no earlier than the time advised on screen at the time of purchase. Due to international customs regulations, physical prints will not be sent post-cruise if there is a failure to pick up the prints onboard. If contact is not made via email at email@example.com or by opening a ticket via Contact Us at disneycruise.disney.go.com/help/email/ within 30 days of debarkation, any qualification for a full or partial refund is void and photos from onboard the ship cannot be recovered.
All photo prints picked up onboard must be inspected and proofed by the purchaser while onboard; and any concerns must be addressed while onboard with a crew member in Shutters Photography Shop. No post-cruise refunds are available for photo prints picked up onboard due to damages, defects, errors or quality concerns.
IV. Photo Gift Products (Including Photo Gift Products Delivered Post-Cruise)
With respect to photo gift products such as photo books or albums, specialty prints, gallery wraps, etc. offered directly by us, receipt of your order does not guarantee that we can supply the selected photo gift products to you. All photo gift products are subject to availability and we must therefore reserve the right: to limit quantities of photo gift products we supply; to supply only part of an order or to divide up orders; and to alter the availability and duration of, and to terminate at any time, any special offers. We will not charge you unless, or to the extent, we are able to deliver the photo gift products to you as ordered.
We will use all reasonable means to ensure your purchases of photo gift products are delivered promptly but we cannot guarantee that there will be no delays in delivery, and accept no liability or responsibility for delayed delivery of photo gift products.
Quality and delivery complaints relating to photo gift products purchased onboard must be made within 30 days of receiving the photo gift product (whether that product be made onboard or delivered shore side/to your home). Attempts will be made to rectify any issue with a photo gift product, provided that original photos are only kept for 30 days after the end of the cruise. We reserve the right to request proof of damage, defect, error or quality concern in the form of photos, return of photo gift products to us for inspection and/or other methods as we may direct in our sole discretion.
You must contact Guest Support for any photo gift product ordered onboard and intended for post-cruise delivery if you have not received that photo gift product within the timeframe provided at the time of your order; provided, however, that any such contact must be made no later than 3 months from the disembarkation date of the cruise in order for any refund to be considered for any lost or undelivered photo gift product. Please contact Guest Support via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or raising a ticket via Contact Us at disneycruise.disney.go.com/help/email/ within the timeframe referenced above in order for any lost or undelivered photo gift product claim to be evaluated.
V. Photo Expiration Policy
Disney Cruise Line photos and other digital content in your account will expire 45 days from the date the photo was taken.
Disney does not offer options for permanent storing of photos or other digital content. Expired photos and other digital content will be deleted from the system.
To view the expiration date of a photo, select the photo from the gallery to preview the enlarged photo. The date the photo was taken and the expiration date of the photo will display beneath the enlarged photo.
Please note that the individual expiration date for each photo may vary.
