Are there special services I can request to assist with my medical condition?


Yes.  Disney Cruise Line offers a variety of helpful Services for Guests with Disabilities.

Equipment such as raised toilet seats and shower seats may be available for use in your stateroom. Please use the information below to contact Disney Cruise Line Special Services to confirm availability of a specific item ahead of your cruise.

A small sharps container for the disposal of needles, syringes and lancets is located in each stateroom bathroom. If you need a sharps container in your stateroom and do not see one, please tell the Crew Member who attends to your stateroom and a container will be provided. Sharps containers are also located in public restrooms.

Please note,

  • You are responsible for renting any medical equipment from a third-party supplier as well as arranging the pickup and return of that equipment.
  • If you plan to bring medical equipment or supplies on board, please contact Disney Cruise Line Special Services prior to boarding, as documentation may be required.
  • You should verify with your physician that you are well enough to travel on your selected itinerary.
  • Wireless Internet access is available at an additional charge. The onboard internet service will be noticeably slower than you may be accustom to and may at times be interrupted or unavailable. Guest who monitor/maintain a medical condition wirelessly should be prepared to utilize alternate means to manage any medical condition throughout the sailing.
  • We recommend that you carry copies of any pertinent medical and emergency contact information.
  • Our onboard Health Centers are equipped to provide first aid and basic emergency care.
  • A doctor and nurse are onboard and on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies.
  • Please review your medical and travel insurance options as well, to ensure coverage of medical services outside of the United States.
