Disney's Oceaneer Lab

Disney's Oceaneer Lab on the Disney Magic is a children's activity center located on Deck 5, Midship. Open from approximately 9:00 a.m. to midnight daily, Disney's Oceaneer Lab is the ideal place for children 3 to 12 years of age to play games, use the computer lab, perform educational experiments and enjoy a wide variety of supervised activities throughout the day.

Operating hours vary occasionally, so check your Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—while onboard for operating times.

Inspired by Disney•Pixar's Toy Story films, Disney's Oceaneer Lab is a futuristic and fun setting starring a larger-than-life Buzz Lightyear and other characters from the hit movie series. Featuring dazzling planetary spheres, twinkling fiber-optic stars and multiple rooms, Disney's Oceaneer Lab is a fantastic haven for children to learn, play and interact with others while Mom and Dad are on their own adventure.

Disney's Oceaneer Lab includes:

• A computer lab with child-friendly computers
• Science lab
• A reading area
• Lounge area
• Multiple televisions

An endless supply of toys, games and Disney movies make Disney's Oceaneer Lab the perfect oasis at sea.

Children are invited to enjoy lunch and dinner at Disney's Oceaneer Lab, which can be especially convenient for parents looking for some alone time at Sessions, Quiet Cove Pool or elsewhere. For those not wishing to dine with us, activities will be available during meal times.

You can register your child for Disney's Oceaneer Lab at the terminal or once onboard the ship.

When boarding the ship on Embarkation Day, both children and parents must check in at the front desk at Disney's Oceaneer Lab, on Deck 5, Midship. During this confirmation process, parents will fill out final paperwork and children will receive a wristband indicating that that they are part of Disney's Oceaneer Lab.

During the registration process, parents are invited to tour the facility, meet the counselors and learn more about the many activities offered.

Children ages 3-12 with special needs are welcome at Disney's Oceaneer Lab. While we cannot offer one on one care for your child, simply let our counselors know in advance and we will accommodate the best we can.

Children are invited to partake in a wide range of delightfully themed activities available at Disney's Oceaneer Lab. While some activities are recommended for certain age ranges, participation is based on a child's interest level and maturity—not age. As a result of this, siblings and friends ages 3-12 can play together without restriction.

Although subject to change, activities at Disney's Oceaneer Lab for children may include:

• Ratatouille Cooking School
  Join a specially trained cookie chef, and learn how to make chocolate chip cookies fit for Remy himself. Have fun helping friends, adding lots of different ingredients and in the end, creating your very own cookies straight from the Ratatouille restaurant magic oven.
• Animation Antics
  Kids explore the history of animation and learn animator secrets as they draw one of their favorite Disney characters and create their own flipbook to take home.
• Stitch's Great Adventure
  Help Stitch as he tries to capture Dr. Jumba's experiments that were set loose in the Oceaneer Lab before they cause all sorts of trouble!
• Piston Cup Challenge
  Drivers run a clean race as they build race cars using bars of soap, ensuring good clean fun and lots of laughs for all.

Parents should note that children have the ability to move back and forth between Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab during operating hours to experience activities. Youth activities counselors will be on hand to direct children.

Our age specific activities are designed exclusively for children between the ages of 3 and 17. Adults 18-years of age and older are not allowed into secured Youth Activity spaces for extended periods of time.

"Youth Activities Open House"
Open House is an opportunity for all guests to come and participate in a variety of exciting activities in the Oceaneer Club and Lab throughout the cruise. During these times the Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab will still be available for those looking to check their children into care.
