Animator's Palate on the Disney Magic is a Main Dining restaurant located on Deck 4, Aft that serves contemporary Pacific Rim cuisine made up of Pacific Island foods, Asian cooking, fresh California fare and a host of other cultural and culinary influences.

Step into a spacious yet stylized dining room that recalls a real-life, hand-drawn environment. The restaurant boasts a fantastic architectural design with proportions that bend and slant. The walls are adorned with sketches that showcase characters and scenes from Disney and Disney•Pixar films, both classic and modern. In keeping with the theme, tools of the animation trade—like character sketches, maquettes, light boxes, paint brushes, colored pencils and computer work stations—surround you at every turn.

Dinner Shows
Animator's Palate serves up something more than just fine food: innovative dinner shows celebrating the art of Disney storytelling and animation, where many beloved Disney characters come to life right before your eyes. Dinner shows include:

  • Drawn to Magic: Watch the evolution of animation—from pencil test to ink-and-paint to storytelling. Follow a hero's journey through Disney and Pixar animation, from wishing upon a star to happily-ever-after. In an emotional finale, the black-and-white interior of the restaurant is transformed with splashes of vibrant colors. Join Sorcerer Mickey as he leads the fun!
  • Animation Magic: On 7-night sailings and longer, you can try your hand at drawing your very own character—and then watch in wonder as your creation becomes part of the show, dancing alongside some favorite classic Disney characters! You won't believe your eyes.

Dinner
Typically served between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (Main Seating) and 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (Second Seating), dinner is part of the reserved Rotational Dining that occurs nightly during your cruise. Check the dining tickets that can be found in your stateroom for assigned seating time, restaurant schedule and table number.

Boasting a selection of tantalizing Pacific Rim cuisine during a delightful 4-course meal, Animator's Palate offers a selection of food that is sure to appeal to the palates of Guests of all ages.

Although subject to change, dinnertime menu items may include:

  • Appetizers/Soups & Salads:
    • Roma Tomato and Portobello Mushrooms on Polenta Cake
    • Creamy Butternut Squash Soup
    • Smoked Salmon and Trout with Goat Cheese Salad
  • Main Courses:
    • Lemon-Thyme Marinated Chicken Breast
    • Animator's Grilled Veal Chop
    • Fragrant Five-Spiced Fish

Dress Code
The dress code for dinner changes nightly. Check the Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—for more information while onboard. However, you are requested to not wear tank tops or swim wear for dinner.

At Animator's Palate, music is synchronized to the visual feast that culminates in a complete transformation of the restaurant.

Seeing is believing! Observe what your servers are wearing throughout your meal at Animator's Palate and don't be surprised if something special occurs.

Guests who arrive in the dining room with a bottle of champagne or wine that has been brought onboard will be charged a corking fee of $20.00 per bottle.
