Things to See and Do
The island of Ibiza offers several beaches where you and your loved ones can enjoy hours of recreation. Playa d'en Bossa is the longest and most popular beach on the island. Cala Llonga is a family-friendly beach with shops, restaurants and even an amusement park. Whatever your style, there's a beach or beach resorts to suit your interest.

For a unique experience, make your way to the north side of the island to explore the Can Marçà Caves. With its nooks and waterfalls, this area was once an ideal hiding spot for pirates and smugglers.

Venture into Ibiza Town and delve into the rich history of the area. Enter through Portal de Ses Taules, a 16th century drawbridge and gateway to D'Alt Vila, the old part of the town. Here, you can stroll the cobbled streets, dine at quaint cafés and admire the unique architecture of older churches—which date as far back as the 1200s.

Large portions of the island are registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Local Culture and Flavor
By day, Ibiza is a charming sea port that you can enjoy at your leisure. But by night, the island comes to life with parties, dancing and some of the world's best club music. The area is particularly lively during the summer, when popular DJs make tour stops on the island.

Past and Present
Founded by the Phoenicians around 650 BC, Ibiza has been ruled by many different powers over the years—including the Romans, the Vandals and the Moors.

Today, Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain.
