11-Night Southern Caribbean Holiday Cruise
Location: CaribbeanA Disney Cruise Line 11-Night Southern Caribbean Holiday Cruise sails during the Holiday Season from Port Canaveral, Florida to the southern Caribbean, where you and your family visit 6 exotic ports and spend 4 festive days at sea. Ports of call include the tropical islands of St. Maarten, Guadeloupe, Barbados, Martinique and Disney's own Castaway Cay.
Celebrate the Holiday Season aboard the Disney Magic as it navigates through the warm Caribbean waters to island ports with sundrenched beaches. While in the ports, stroll down streets where swashbuckling pirates once traveled.
Your Holiday Season cruise begins on a Saturday at beautiful Port Canaveral, on central Florida's Atlantic Ocean. During the next two days, explore the ship as it travels south to the Caribbean. On board the ship, enjoy world-class Holiday entertainment, as well as other activities. At night, be sure to swing by the Rockin' Bar D, a roadside-themed club that invites adults to listen to live music, dance or sing karaoke.
On Tuesday, the ship anchors off St. Maarten, an island shared by the Netherlands and France. Frolic on its pristine beaches, including expansive Great Bay Beach in Philipsburg, the island's Dutch capital. And don't forget to enjoy the island's fabulous Las Vegas and Monaco-style casinos.
The next day, explore the island of Guadeloupe, where French is the main language. It boasts a string of beaches and beach towns that offer every type of water activity. Visit the island's most popular attraction, the Aquarium De La Guadeloupe and its massive shark tank. Also, shop at Guadeloupe's largest city Pointe-à-Pitre and its outdoor markets.
On Thursday, dock on Barbados, the eastern-most Caribbean island that still has close ties to England. Although its climate is tropical, trade winds off the Atlantic Ocean keep temperatures mild. On the island's east coast, waves are good enough for some light surfing. The island features a festive night life in areas such as the Saint Lawrence Gap in the island capital of Bridgetown.
Enjoy Christmas Eve on the island of Martinique. The Isle of Flowers, as Martinique is known, celebrates Christmas for the entire month. While there, visit the Sacré-Coeur de Balata Cathedral, a replica of the famous Basilica of Sacré-Coeur in Paris.
Spend Christmas on board the ship, enjoying a sumptuous Christmas dinner as only Disney can provide. After a second glorious day at sea, visit Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island paradise in the Bahamas. There you can enjoy a variety of activities and shore excursions, including stingray interactions, glass-bottom boat tours and jet ski tours.
The next day, the ship docks at Port Canaveral, where your Holiday adventure began. This year, let your Christmas stocking be filled with warm breezes, sun-warmed beaches and crystal-clear blue waters. You're bound to be the envy of your snow-shoveling neighbors.
